Predictions For The 2011 NFL Season

With the 2011 NFL season only a day away, it is once again, that time of year for fans and experts alike, we included to go fishing for predictions on America’s favorite game. Here are several sports betting predictions for the upcoming season.

Week One Will Have A Huge Impact On The Rest Of The Season – To start the 2011 regular season, there are several marquee matchups that could indicate how certain teams fair this season. For instance, Indianapolis and Houston faceoff, in a game that could decide the AFC South right out of the gate. By all indications, the Houston Texans under Head Coach Gary Kubiak, have made the 2011 – 12 seasons, the year they finally get their act together and make the playoffs. What’s more, Peyton Manning is injured, and nothing will go further in proving the Texans are for real, then decimating the Colts in week one.

On the other hand, another team with a lot riding on week one is the Baltimore Ravens. Taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers in week one, the Ravens and their new look offense, will attempt to show that the post-season collapse is behind them. If Joe Flacco and the Ravens can beat up on the Steelers in week one, this season should be a good one for Ravens nation.

Nnamdi Asomugha Will Be A Bust For The Philadelphia Eagles – After spending his first eight seasons in the NFL as a part of the Oakland Raiders, the 2011 season, will be a big one for the career of Nnamdi Asomugha. Considered by many as the top defensive player in this year’s free agency pool, Asomugha had a terrible preseason. In our opinion, the terrible play of Asomugha during the preseason will be what you get for his entire tenure in Philadelphia. Just like former Raiders teammate JaMarcus Russell, Asomugha is way overrated.
