Online Wagering – Belgium Looks To Shine Spotlight On Illegal Gambling Sites

Whether you are an NFL betting player, you wager on soccer or a bet makes a basketball matchup more interesting, people like to gamble; it has always been that way and probably always will be. The online wagering market has been flooded with companies looking to acquire your business, but you can run across some that have unscrupulous methods of dealing with you and the government in Belgium is out to put those sites to pasture.

Belgium plans on starting a “black list” in order to warn their customers, whether you just want to bet on some games or you’re a person that uses a price per head service, of illegal gambling sites. They are setting up a gaming commission whose duty it is to hand out licenses to companies that are on the straight and narrow and are looking to do things the right way, and they’ll also be on the lookout for unsavory companies (for example, a company that doesn’t pay you out and of course, one that doesn’t have a license). Right now, the big game on the list is Bwin, a company considered the largest in the online betting world, so that is something that players will want to pay attention to.

This is a proactive method by the Belgian government as they know that players are going to gamble; it’s all about regulating the services so they have a fair shake and the government will receive income from companies looking to acquire licenses. This is a great step for the online wagering industry.
